Alcohol & Substance Use
(Harm Reduction-Oriented)
You Don’t Have to Have Everything Figured Out to Begin
Taking the step to explore your relationship with alcohol or substances is meaningful, even if you’re unsure what you want to change. In our work together, you’ll have a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’re hoping for — without pressure or expectations.
Whether you’re thinking about cutting back, practicing moderation, taking breaks, or navigating periods of heavier use, we’ll move at your pace. Together, we’ll look at the patterns beneath the surface, build tools for managing urges and emotions, and create a plan that feels realistic and supportive for your life.
You’re not expected to have a “problem” to reach out — curiosity is enough.
And wherever you are in your process, you deserve support that respects your autonomy and acknowledges your lived experience.
I’m here to help you move toward change that feels grounded, compassionate, and truly your own.
"Maddie is insightful, curious, and easy to connect with! I recommend her wholeheartedly."

How Therapy Can Support You
-
Support That Meets You Exactly Where You Are
Whether you're exploring moderation, taking a break, reducing use, or still feeling unsure, therapy gives you space to understand your patterns without judgment or pressure. Together, we’ll look at what’s driving your use, build coping tools for urges and stress, and create changes that feel realistic and sustainable for your life.
-
Making Sense of What You're Feeling
Substance use often intersects with anxiety, trauma, overwhelm, or a nervous system trying its best to cope. In our work, we’ll explore those connections with compassion, helping you understand why certain patterns show up and how to navigate them with more clarity, steadiness, and self-awareness.

Navigating Change at Your Own Pace
Change doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Whether you're transitioning out of a program, re-evaluating your goals, or building a new relationship with alcohol and/or substances, I’ll support you through each step. You’ll have a consistent, safe place to reflect, reset, and move forward in a way that honors your autonomy.
You don’t have to know exactly what you want to change to reach out. If you’re feeling curious, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for a different kind of support, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface, honor your pace, and create a path forward that feels doable and meaningful for your life.
Whenever you’re ready, I’m here.
